GU FAMILY BOOK (Episode 10)

Deputy Seo enters the room and orders the painting to be taken down because Jo Kwan Woong likes it and doesn’t want it damaged.  Unknown to the group of Jo Kwan Woong, behind the painting is a secret door going to the vault that keeps thousands of silver saved by the late businessman Park Moo Sol.  Hiding behind the door are Choi Kang Chi and Dam Yeol with Gon outside, who are all in a mission to salvage the silver from the hands of the wicked Jo Kwan Woong.  Kang Chi tells Yeo Wool to move when the latter tripped.  Before she hits the ground, Kang Chi managed to hold her.  But to their surprise, Kang Chi accidentally finds his hand resting on Yeo Wool’s chest!  Then the most awkward moment of all.

Now that it’s finally revealed about Yeo Wool’s identity, Kang Chi couldn’t believe what he just touched!

Deputy Seo orders his men to remove the painting and discovered a hinge at the bottom of the wall.  Deputy Seo touches the hinge.  When he tries to pull the wall, the painting slides, showing another wall!  This raises his suspicion that it might be an entry to something.  He tries to push the wall but Yeo Wool and Kang Chi are working hard to hold and block the door. Because of the noise, Deputy Seo is so eager to find out if there are people behind the wall.
Deputy Seo orders the suspension of the construction until final orders from Jo Kwan Woong.  Two guards were left to ensure that no one touches the wall.

Inside the vault, Choi Kang Chi and Dam Yeo Wool are finally relieved that Deputy Seo already left.  But when reality strikes them, the awkward moment returns!

Master Dam Pyeong Joon and Park Tae Seo receive the report about Choi Kang Chi and Yeo Wool’s situation.  Gon is waiting for the master’s order on their next move.

At the gisaeng house, Wol San is entertaining Jo Kwan Woong whose eyes are fixated to the lady seated near the door, Park Cheong Jo.

Cheon Soo Ryeon arrives saying she is fetching an apprentice who seemed to have lost her way.  But Jo Kwan Woong claimed he really wanted her to be in his room.  Jo Kwan Woong even warned the head gisaeng not to get in his way as he has been following all her conditions and patiently waiting until Cheong Jo is completely a gisaeng.

Later, Cheong Jo complaints to the head gisaeng that she cannot bear being near with Jo Kwan Woong who killed her father.  But Cheo Soo Ryun tells her that she must do as told.  She’d better be wise, be patient and endure it.  But Cheong Jo refuses to do it.

The head gisaeng receives a letter and soon orders her maiden to serve a special drink to Jo Kwan Woong to further buy time.  When Deputy Seo arrives to ask for a minute with his master, Jo Kwan Woong is not available.  He waited but when in the end, he sees his master already asleep.

Back at the Hundred Year Inn, Kang Chi is worried because Yeo Wool is having a fever.  Kang Chi breaks the ice by asking if Yeo Wool is okay.  Though there is still some awkward moments, Kang Chi try to make a conversation asking how much is everything inside the vault. He starts counting but Yeo Wool interrupts her saying the entire safe is worth 5000.  He asks how many ships can be built with such money, which Yeo Wool reveals around 10.

Then seeing Yeo Wool in an uncomfortable state, Kang Chi asks her again if she is really okay.  He puts his jacket on her to keep her warm when he accidentally brushed Yeo Wool’s injured arm.  When Kang Chi checked it, he asks how did Yeo Wool get that wound but the lady warrior tells him not to be concerned about it.  Then Kang Chi remembers the night he was wounded and attacked Yeo Wool when he transformed.  Yeo Wool’s arm hit the candlestick.
Knowing it will be dangerous for Yeo Wool, he wants them out of the room.  Yeo Wool, however, is thinking of the mission.  She doesn’t want them to move around carelessly and lose thousands of silver that might help Joseon Navy to make 12 ships.  She said if they lose, she cannot live with a good conscience for the rest of her life.
A drunken Jo Kwan Woong couldn't control himself and walks towards Cheong Jo.      He talks to Cheong Jo as if she is Yoon Seo Hwa and even tries to kiss the noblewoman-turned-gisaeng.  Good thing top gisaeng Wol San approaches them telling him to rest. Deputy Seo arrives hoping to get a word from his master but  Jo Kwan Woong sleeps on the floor beside Cheong Jo.  Then Cheon Soo Ryun timely arrives.
She orders Bi Jo to be sent to his room and all the girls to clean up and take some rest.  But Cheong Jo, fuming mad for her almost kiss with Bi Jo, stays up.  She cries while remembering sweet moments with Choi Kang Chi.

Back at the vault, Yeo Wool tells Kang Chi her name.  The name sounds familiar to Kang Chi when Yeo Wool lost consciousness.  As Kang Chi catches Yeo Wool, he remembers the night he asked her if she knows him and if they have met before, will it have a meaning once he remembers it.
Flashback runs through Kang Chi's head from the day he saved Yeo Wool from an angry dog, the first time she saved him in the forest, when he collapsed on Yeo Wool's shoulders under a crescent moon, the day she tells him about his fear on king spider and even the night he asked her if they know each other. Does he know the answers now?

At the martial arts academy, Park Tae Seo has come up with a plan.  Carrying a sword, he enters the Hundred Year Inn.  He sees Eokman and orders him to find Gon and tell him to help those inside the vault to escape.  He will try to make a scene to buy time.  Eokman followed the orders. Once the guards left their post because of Tae Seo who is running amok in the grounds, Gon goes inside the vault and picks up Yeo Wool to escape.  He puts Yeo Wool in a carriage and sends her off back to the academy.  He then proceed to help Park Tae Seo.
Amidst the fight, Park Tae Seo advises Gon that it is not wise for the latter to stay because it might jeopardize the whole academy and even the admiral.  Park Tae Seo's idea may be good for Yeo Wool, Gon and Kang Chi but not for him when Deputy Seo arrives while he is in the middle of a fight.  Tae Seo  learns who hypnotized him.  Worse, he couldn't stop himself from being controlled by Deputy Seo.  When asked Park Tae Seo betrays everyone when he points to Seo Bo Goo the room of the group's mission.
Deputy Seo Bo Goo runs towards the room.  Using a mallet, he strikes the wall and discover the boxes of silvers inside the vault.  At the martial arts academy, Gon is reporting to Dam Pyeong Joon that the vault is now heavily guarded after its secret has been uncovered.  The master is disappointed because their plan is a failure but the best handyman they tapped said they should not be disheartened because there is still one man who remains inside the vault - Choi Kang Chi.

Master Gong Dal is checking on Yeo Wool when Dam Pyeong Joon comes in.  Pyeong Joon asks the master if he sent Kang Chi to Hundred Years Inn but the latter answers him back with updates on Yeo Wool's condition.  Soon Gong Dal tells Pyeong Joon that he just wagered a bet with Kang Chi, who at that time plans to do something inside the secret vault!

The following morning, Jo Kwan Woong receives the report from his deputy about the secret vault containing thousands of silver.  They hurried back home.
At the entrance of the Hundred Year Inn, Jo Kwan Woong sees Choi Ma Reum ordering the rest of the servants to ensure that none of the sacks of rice will fall.  When asked what is is all about, Choi Ma Reum explains that the grains are part of the Hundred Year Inn's contribution to military force and will be sent to the naval base.

Ignoring such humanitarian act, the wicked retired officer focuses on the silver and proceeds to the secret room of Park Moo Sol.  Overwhelming with greed, he tells his deputy that he wants to see all the silver all by himself.  Alone inside the room, Jo Kwan Woong studies the vault and soon shouts for his assistant because all the silvers are gone!  The deputy couldn't believe it as well.  Then they see sacks of grains inside the vault prompting them to investigate and call for Choi Ma Reum.  But the head servant denies taking the boxes of silver.

The group of Jo Kwan Woong proceeds to the naval base where sacks of grains from Hundred Year Inn have been donated.  When the Admiral meets them to find out their purpose of visit, Jo Kwan Woong tells the officer that the admiral has something that belongs to him and must checked it on his own.  The admiral gives in to his request.  Jo Kwan Woong's guards ransack the sacks of grains checking possible inclusion of any silver.

But when they failed to find any, an argument ensued between the admiral and Jo Kwan Woong about the presence of a military force.  Soon the admiral orders his men not to accept anything nor allowed anyone from Hundred Year Inn.  Then he orders Jo Kwan Woong out of the naval base.

Choi Kang Chi arrives with wagons full of boxes of silver behind him!  He tells that it is not right to waste food because every grain is precious.  When Jo Kwan Woong asks what is he doing at the naval base, Choi Kang Chi answers he is running errand for the deceased Park Moo Sol!  Deputy Seo tries to block Choi Kang Chi but the authorities did not allow him.

While Jo Kwan Woong is screaming mad inside the secret vault, the Admiral is grateful for Choi Kang Chi's help in saving all the silver.  When Kang Chi asks him about their agreement, the admiral nods telling him that a promise is a promise.

The next thing you know - Master Gond Dal wears a happy face as he puts on Admiral Lee Soo Sin's hat!  Kang Chi is elated to see the old man's simple pleasures.  He asks him if the master cant ask for someone else's hat instead.  Gong Dal turns to him asking what he likes as part of their bet. Then Kang Chi opens a casserole of cooked chicken and welcomes it happily! While Kang Chi is enjoying his food, Master Gong Dal is enjoying his temporary stature with his hat.

Watching them from afar are Dam Pyeong Joon and Gon.  The former tells the latter what the admiral has shared to him - the admiral thinks Kang Chi is a lucky variable to them.

At the Hundred Year Inn, Jo Kwan Woong orders Park Tae Seo to find out what the admiral will do about the silver or his sister will pay the price.  Then Tae Seo, who is in hiding, visits his sister and sees how his sister is being treated at the gisaeng house.

Yeo Wool wakes up and gets worried about the mission.  She runs outside and sees Kang Chi sweeping the grounds.  She is about to call him when she realize the embarrassing incident at the secret vault with him.  Yeo Wool turns around, covers her chest and is about to take a step when Kang Chi calls her.  She plans to walk away but Kang Chi is quickly on her side and puts his hand on her forehead checking their temperature.

Kang Chi is worried about Yeo Wool but the latter is worried about the silver.  Leaning forward, Kang Chi tells Yeo Wool this things fooled him - implying his inability to find out  immediately her identity. He added that women usually won't worry about the silver but Yeo Wool stops her, stands straight and seeks answer to her question to which Kang Chi replied that it was a success. She can even verify it with the master. Overwhelmed by the news, Yeo Wool dishevels the hair of Kang Chi but their happy moments become awkward moments when Kang Chi remembers his words asking yeo wool if it will be meaningful if he remembers about them. Yeo Wool asks him why is he staring at her, he says nothing.  Then Yeo Wool noticed his wounded hand.  Kang Chi explains what happened.

Yeo Wool lost consciousness while they were at the secret storage because of the wound and has high fever.  Kang Chi doesn't know what to do until the blue floating lights approach him and seep through Yeo Wool's wound implying what to be done.  So Kang Chi took Yeo Wool's knife and cut himself.  He drops his blood on the wound, instantly healing it.

Kang Chi assures Yeo Wool he is okay but she tells him that she doesn't want him to get hurt because of her.  Kang Chi is moved by Yeo Wool's sentiments.  the two are looking at each other with care when a blindfolded Park Tae Seo interrupts them.

At the Choonghwangwan, Bi Jo tells Cheon Su Ryeon that he wants Cheong Jo that night.  Cheong Jo overhears this conversation!

Park Tae Seo, meanwhile, begs for Kang Chi to help him rescue Cheong Jo from the gisaeng house.  Hiding behind one of the walls is Yeo Wool who is intently listening to their conversation.

Will Kang Chi give in to Park Tae Seo's request?  Is this really what Kang Chi wants - to save and be with his childhood sweetheart Cheong Jo?  What will happen now to Yeo Wool? Is this really a one-sided love affair?
