But the wise Admiral asks the chief of police if Kang Chi killed a traitor then he should be rewarded. And if Kang Chi is guilty of murdering Park Moo Sol, then the latter must be innocent

The chief officer tries to convince Kwan Woong to release Kang Chi but the latter refuses because seven of his men who went after Kang Chi disappeared without a trace.
At the detention, the Admiral picks up Kang Chi as he is now a free man. But Kang Chi is displeased for the logic that he is free because he murdered his savior and the man who raised him.
Understanding Kang Chi’s sentiments, the Admiral gives him three pieces of coins. The admiral tells him to think the day as his last and must bid farewell as he gives each coin to three people he thinks he need to say goodbye to. Then he should visit the Admiral at the naval base the following day. If he does it, the Admiral promises not to interfere in his life. When Kang Chi asked him why he should follow him, the Admiral stress that Park Moo Sol asked to take care of him plus it is an order from the man who saved Kang Chi from death.

Their conversation stops when objects and vegetables start flying towards Kang Chi. People at the market notice him and hurl hurtful words because they believe the news that he killed Park Moo Sol. They think he is an ingrate. Yeo Wool tries to stop them and blocks Kang Chi. She explains that everything is just a misunderstanding but the townspeople continue throwing objects at them. Irked, Kang Chi pulls Yeo Wool and walks out of the market place. Yeo Wool comforts Kang Chi but the latter tells him that he hates the feeling of being known as the murderer of Lord Park. Before Kang Chi walks away, Yeo Wool tells him where he could find the person he wants to see the most, Chung Jo.

She orders all the girls to pour the wine and drink it. Chung Jo pours the wine after getting scolded by Wol San but she refuse to drink because she doesn’t find the idea amusing. Wol San orders the rest of the gisaeng to give Chung Jo a lesson by spitting on the bowl. Then Wol San tells her to drink it but Chung Jo firmly refuses. Wol San rants that a gisaeng should act like a gisaeng among other things until Chung Jo throws the liquor on her! This leads all other gisaengs to gang up on her.
All the gisaengs and the beaten Chung Jo are in at the room of Chun Soo Ryun. Outnumbered, Chung Jo ends up getting hit with a stick on her legs. It was in the middle of punishing Chung Jo when Choi Kang Chi appears in the room and tells the young lady to run away with him. But before they could escape, Kang Chi and Chung Jo encounter the guards at the grounds of Choo Hwa Gwan. Behind them are Chun Soo Ryun and the rest of the gisaengs. Chun Soo Ryun warns Kang Chi not to move because her men will search for them and beat them to death or if they are luckier to evade her staff, they will have to hide as criminals because Chung Jo has been sole as a state gisaeng. Firm with his plans, Kang Chi holds Chung Jo’s hands tighter and tells Chun Soo Ryun he will not let her go. Kang Chi tells Chung Jo that he will never let her go and asks her to trust him. And just when the prince almost rescued the princess, Chung Jo let go of Kang Chi’s hand
Park Chung Jo wants Kang Chi to prove first her father’s innocence. Only then, will she leave Choo Hwa Gwan. Then she begs Kang Chi to leave. Outside, Kang Chi looks back at the Choo Hwa Gwan while Yeo Wool is in some distance watching him. Yeo Wool remembers her father’s order – that is to kill Kang Chi if he makes any rash move so as not to put the admiral in danger. Then amidst her thoughts, Yeo Wool loses Kang Chi in sight. Running after Kang Chi, Yeo Wool finds him heading towards the Hundred Year Inn. However, she sees Gon, who even volunteered to execute the order to kill earlier, is already in position with his bow and arrow. He leaves the room with an angry Jo Kwan Woong behind him. As he leaves, he sees the remaining household of Hundred Year Inn including his adoptive father waiting for him. He asks him to take care of the Hundred Year Inn as he promise to bring back Tae Seo and Chung Jo.
At the naval base, Admiral Lee Soon Sin is practicing his archery with Master Dam Pyeong Joon when they received the news that Kang Chi invaded the Hundred Year Inn. Jo Kwan Woong shows the Admiral the stick that splits the table into half. Blaming Kang Chi for it, Bi Jo claimed he was seen by the people at the Hundred Year Inn. But the Admiral asks if he can meet servants. When asked if they have seen Kang Chi, the servants denied saying since Jo Kwan Woong took over the Hundred Year Inn, the young man never set foot. The Admiral tells Jo Kwan Woong if he wants him to be relieved of his post, he should find more evidence. After the admiral left, Jo Kwan Woong orders the punishment of servants who claimed they did not see Kang Chi. Jo Kwan Woong is fuming mad when he returns to his room. But Seo Boo Gwan assures him that they still have something that will make them victorious – Park Tae Seo.
Choi Kang Chi visits Admiral Lee Soon Sin and returns to him the three coins. When asked why he returned it, Kang Chi said he has to keep living and will move his farewells on a later date because of three reasons – first, he wants to prove Lord Park’s innocence; second, the want to bring back the Hundred Year Inn to Tae Seo and Chung Jo and lastly, he wants to become human. The admiral tells Kang Chi that being human is based on what’s inside the heart. He also said he had seen humans who act as animals. The admiral asks him how will he fulfill the last, Kang Chi said he needs to find the Gu Family Book.
Kang Chi recalls how Sujong tells him about Gu Family Book but refuses to help him because of what happened to his father. Sujong adds that he doesn’t want to lose Kang Chi but the latter begs. Sujong advises him to avoid women adding Kang Chi already meets the woman he must avoid. In a serious note, Sujong tells Kang Chi to strengthen his mental power to control and stay human without the help of the magical bracelet.
In the evening, the Admiral tells Master Dam to take Kang Chi in to the martial arts academy. Kang Chi even kneels asking to learn patience and self-control. Looking on at the background is Yeo Wool who seems satisfied with the situation. She sees Gon, who confronts her for almost putting the admiral in danger. Yeo Wool tells Gon that it wasn't Kang Chi’s words that she trusted; it was the Admiral’s. She explains that if the Admiral didn’t trust Kang Chi, he should have sent someone to accompany him. Yeo Wool adds that maybe its time for Gon to learn how to trust.
Before he leaves the naval base, Kang Chi asked the Admiral what he would’ve done if he sent the coins or killed Jo Kwan Woong. The Admiral said he will kill Kang Chi himself because a person who doesn’t hold his life dear cannot take other things as precious and there is no hope for such person.
Kang Chi joins Yeo Wool, Gon and Master Dam Pyeong Joon as they head towards the academy. On the road, Yeo Wool and Kang Chi are having fun. Looking on is Sujong who is praying that Kang Chi’s path will lead him to happiness as well as Lady Yeo Wool.
Kang Chi arrives at the academy. He is overwhelmed seeing the students around him. Soon he gets introduced properly with the help of Yeo Wool. Not long after he arrived, Choi Kang Ching sees a man he considers as one of his family members – Park Tae Seo.
Holding a sword, Tae Seo approaches Kang Chi. Elated by his presence, Kang Chi meets Tae Seo halfway. Little did he know that Tae Seo thrust his sword at him!
